Minister of Music Search Committee

The committee has been meeting regularly, praying daily and seeking the will of God constantly. The committee requests continued prayers and support as they attend to the task assigned to them. Please visit this special section on the church's website for more frequent updates from the committee.

Committee Updates:

August 1, 2010 - Ben Kendall along with his wife, Carrie & son, James were called as Calvary's Minister of Music & Worship.  He will begin August 16.

July 21, 2010: - The following schedule has been set for Ben Kendall prior to the service on Sunday, August 1 to give Calvary members the chance to meet Ben and his wife Carrie.

Thursday, July 29 -- 7:00pm 1st service praise team practice
Friday, July 30 -- 6:00pm Meet and Greet
(Open to those interested in music ministry and anyone who will not be able to attend Saturday's meet and greet)
6:30pm Choir Rehearsal
7:00pm 2nd service praise team practice
Saturday, July 31 --9:00am Breakfast with the Deacons
10:00am Church-wide Meet and Greet
 

May 23, 2010: - Committee met to pray. A candidate the committee was interested in and was talking with accepted another position unexpectedly. The committee members are reviewing resumes and will meet again on 5/26/10 to discuss potential candidates from resumes received.

April 26, 2010:  Upcoming activities:  May 8 - Men's prayer breakfast. If you would like to pray for the committee, please join us at the church at 8:30am  Next scheduled meeting on May 9 at 5pm.
 

March 15, 2010: Minister of Music surveys were distributed and collected during all Sunday School classes on Sunday, March 14. For those who did not have a chance to fill out a survey, blank copies are available at the Welcome Center and need to be returned no later than Sunday, March 21. Results will be compiled and shared with the church body. They will be posted here on this site as well.

March 10, 2010: The committee is receiving resumes at this time and will soon begin the next phase of interviewing potential candidates. Please look for a letter from the committee mailed to each church member explaining more detail on our progress.
