Testimony Corner

As our 4th year of Awana starts, I can’t tell you how exciting this ministry is—you have to experience it—and an experience it is!  I was wanting to leave my Sunday night nursery duty, after 10+ years and was feeling rather stagnant in my Christian walk.  Jamie approached me about Awana; I wasn’t sure what it was all about but I agreed to be a listening, and that’s all!  I mean, kids for 2 hours every week surely couldn’t be much fun.  Week 1 went pretty well, week 2 was good, and by week 3 I was hooked.  And, they really are fun.  I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with 3rd-6th grade girls.  It is a huge blessing to see them memorize scripture, grow in their faith, and some to accept Christ.  It is a great experience—agree to be a listener– see where God takes you!
