Calvary Kids Summer Day Camp Parent Information

Drop-Off
Drop Off will be from 8:15-8:30am each day in the main building. Please enter through the main entrance.
On Monday, a parent MUST accompany their child inside for drop-off.
Parents will receive two pick-up tags on Monday morning at drop-off.
You will keep these parent tags and use them all week.
Each day, every child will pick up their name tag and proceed into the auditorium.
Tuesday-Friday, children can be dropped off at the door, if needed.
Pick-Up
Pick-up is inside the main building.
1st - 2nd Grade- 12:15-12:30
3rd - 6th Grade- 4:45-5:00
Parents MUST have their pick-up tag to pick up their child.
If you do not have a pick-up tag, we will ask for a photo ID and will call whomever is on the registration form to verify.
If someone other than you will be picking up your child, you must make sure you give them one of your parent tags to be able to pick up your child/children. If there is ever any question, you will be notified.
All kid’s name tags will remain at Calvary for the next day.
Early Pick-Up
If for any reason, you or someone else needs to pick-up your child/children earlier in the day, please contact the church office (417-732-1405) to let us know. Please include the child’s name, the name of the person that will be picking them up, and the time they will be picked up.
When you arrive, you will need to enter the main building and ask one of our Safety Team members to radio for your child. If no Safety Team member is available, please go to the front office.
A parent tag will still be required to pick up your child/children.
What to Bring
Each child should bring a bag/backpack WITH THEIR NAME on it.
Each child should bring a water bottle WITH THEIR NAME on it.
Each child should bring a towel and a change of clothes. They may not need them, but they will be getting wet each day.
Each child should bring their own sunscreen. They will be spending one hour in the sun each afternoon.
A Hat (optional)
Children will be running each day. It is strongly recommended they wear closed toe shoes.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING TOYS OF ANY KIND! They are a distraction and we cannot keep track of them.
What Are We Eating?
Each day a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided.
If your child is not able to eat that meal or snack, you are welcome to pack them a snack and/or sack lunch. Please note: unless it is medically necessary, this will not be eaten until the designated times.
Breakfast will not be provided, therefore we highly encourage you to have breakfast at home.
What is the Schedule?
OMC - For 3rd-6th Grade Only
On Friday, we will be having our very own Organized Mass Chaos.
During this time, kids will have fun, get wet, and most likely be covered with shaving cream.
It is essential that each child has a change of clothes, shoes, and towel for afterwards. If you don’t want your child to get their good shoes dirty and wet, please have them wear shoes that can.
Goggles will be provided for each child.
Misc
Camp shirts will be provided for each child on Friday morning at drop-off.
Please have your child change into their camp shirts before going into the auditorium.
They can save the shirt they came in for after OMC.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Campers entering into 1st & 2nd grade will attend from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Campers entering into 3rd through 6th grade will attend from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM.

Morning Recreation Games: These are indoor games designed to keep campers active and engaged. The games will vary each day and by age group.
Afternoon Action Recreation: Similar to the morning games, but these may be indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather.
Water Recreation: As the name suggests, these are afternoon water games where campers will get wet!
Quiet Recreation: New this year! This indoor activity allows campers to enjoy board games, Legos, learn to crochet, or participate in crafts.

If your child has an allergy, you are welcome to pack their own snacks or lunch. However, we do ask that they refrain from sharing their food with others.

We take safety and security very seriously for all of our kids.
All adults are background checked and never one-on-one with a child.
Each camper and adult has an identifiable name badge
The Calvary Safety & Security Team will be present the entire day.
Each family will have their own unique pickup tag, and ONLY those with the tag are able to pick up that child.

Last year, we invited all campers to a full day of events, but we quickly realized that it was too much for our youngest campers. They became hot, exhausted, and grumpy. While we understand this might be inconvenient, we believe it's best for both our campers and leaders to limit this group to a shorter day.

We’re excited to welcome back Sports Crusaders this year! This Missouri-based group of college students is trained to not only have fun with the campers, but also to share scripture with them.
